Yuki is good looking and she knows it. She walks like she owns the world. She usually has a small, rather cocky smile on her face. When talking, she often plays with her hair, flipping it over her shoulder and so.

When in an argument with someone, Yuki will gesticulate a lot, especially pointing a lot. She'll lean forward, towards the person and sometimes she talks to the other person as if they were a little stupid (because they don't share her opinion). Should she realize that she was wrong, which she sometimes do mid-argument, she'll not admit it, but it will be visible in her body language. She'll begin to lean back a little and she'll cross her arms or in some other way still her arms to stop gesticulating. She'll break eye contact with the other person.

Yuki rarely lets words get to her, but when she does get hurt by something, she won't be able to hide it. She'll stare at the person who hurt her for a second, then begin to fidget and look around the room, trying to play it off or find something to do to excuse herself and leave. Yuki hates crying in front of people (Jonah sometimes excluded), so she'll leave as soon as she gets an opportunity if she feels like she'll start crying.

The challenge and the "prize" for doing something.

Although she tries to hide it, she has sever claustrophobia (which can greatly affect her work as an assassin). Being stuck in small spaces can quickly trigger panic attacks for her. She's also scared of bigger fires and dislikes cars a lot. (Even smaller fires used to scare her, but she managed to overcome her fear to the point were she can at least use a lighter and have candles around her.)

Her pride, in combination with her stubbornness and unwillingness to admit to being wrong, makes it hard for her to accept criticism. This sometimes causes smaller conflicts to escalate into much bigger fights.

She's quick to judge people based on mannerism and looks.

She's an exellent sniper and strategist. She's increadibly quick to judge situations and improvise.

She loves watching action comedies and dancing. Suzu loves hanging out with her girlfriends and chat, work out or watch movies.

Yuki is very confident and arrogant. She's well aware of her good looks and is confident in her skills and abilities.

She greatly values her freedom and independence. She wants to be able to use her own skills to manage herself and dislikes having to admit that she needs helps. She's extremely prideful. This most likely streams from her childhood at the orphanage, where she had to constantly fight for herself and her survival. She now sees it as a failure to ask for help since "she's always managed herself this far".

Yuki is extreamly stubborn. During her life, she's learnt that the only way to survive is to stand up for yourself and never, ever back down. However, this now means that she easily gets into arguments if she disagrees with someone, and that she never can admit that she's been wrong about something.

She really loves birds. For her, they symbolize freedom and she loves how gracious they can be. She really likes parrots, cockatoos especially, because of their colour and because they're so smart.

Yuki's parents met when her mother came from Japan to study in the US. Her father was also of Japanese decent, but was born and raised in America. The two met in college and later married and had Makoto (Yuki). Her father Takahiro worked as a cop, and little Makoto was always very fascinated by his work (she thought it sounded cool). She admired her father greatly. However, Takahiro began to investigate a New York drug gang and came a little too close to the gang. Makoto was three and a half years old when a truck crashed into the Ishikawa family's car, killing Takahiro and a seven month's pregnant Akane. Makoto survived, but had no relatives that could take care of her. She was sent to an orphanage, owned by the Academy. There, she met and befriended Jonah (then Gabriel). The two formed an strong bond and when they where sent to the Academy around the age of seven, they where practically inseparable.

(Side note! Her parents taught her both English and Japanese, but during her time at the orphanage, she spoke very little Japanese. When she came to the Academy, she was once again taught to speak Japanese. (Speaking a least two languages is mandatory, and if someone already knows a language, they're encouraged to keep studying it.))

Jonah: Suzume and Jonah share a very special bond. They've known each other for more than ten years by the start of the story, and know each other inside and out. They met when came to the orphanage when they were five. The two soon sought out one another for comfort and they soon became inseparable. They trust each other wholeheartedly, which is rare in the world of assassins. They know each other well enough to be able to communicate very well without words; a glance or small gesture is often enough. Both love to tease the other, and they often call each other strange, sometimes kind of mean, nicknames. They can often be found playfully insult each other, or try to make the other as embarrassed as possible. However, when the situation requires it, they can be very serious and they're always there to comfort each other. They have a habit to reach for each other's hands if they're scared, sad, in some need of comfort. (This streams from their childhood together, where they used to hold hands to comfort each other/show their support.)
