Frey tries hard not to judge people before knowing them, however she does tend to jump to conclusions when someone has a dark past. As a major rule follower and believer in what is right, those who are willing to break rules for their own benefit bother her.

Frey's heart is too big at times. She is almost too trusting and it can get her in to troublesome situations. Her quiet nature can also cause a problem if she doesn't speak out in her own defense.

Apprentice mage of the Circle of Magi in Ferelden

Believes that the Circle is a necessity for mages. The Templars are meant to protect mages from themselves and others who can't control their powers. Others may consider themselves prisoners under the guard the Templar Order provides, but Amell believes that the world would be a very dangerous place with out their abilities to weaken magic.

Taken from her family at as an infant for her magic abilities, Frey was brought to the Ferelden Circle and raised as a mage. She doesn't know who her family is, only that her name comes from Kirkwall ancestry. In the circle, she has few friends because she keeps to herself. Though she cares for everyone and stretches herself as best she can to attend to anyone in need of assistance, she feels most comfortable around 3 people in particular: First Enchanter Irving, a fellow apprentice named Jowan, and a young templar named Cullen.
For as long as she can remember, Irving has been like a father to Frey. Though he is First Enchanter and has duty to all mages in the circle, he has always shown favoritism to her, without ever explaining why. He has taught her much of what she knows but also his heart and love he has shown to her is what motivates her to be a good person. She loves seeing him proud as she rises higher and makes new achievements. She believes that without Irving, she never would have amounted to anything.
Jowan is another apprentice, a little older than Frey. He doesn't have many close to him as he is a hypochondreac and very energetic. He balances her quiet nature and brings some adventure to her life, always being the center of something big happening in the apprentice quarters. Though there is nothing romantic between the two, they are very nearly inseperable. Jowan may be a bit eccentric, but Amafrey believes his heart is in the right place.
Cullen Rutherford is a young templar who is nearly the same age as Frey. He is quite cute, in both appearance and nature. Frey has noticed that he stares a lot and cares for her, though he would never say it out loud. She knows that because he is a templar and she is a mage, there could never truly be anything between them, but she likes to fantasize about what-if's.
The Circle of Magi is very restrictive of its occupants, so Amafrey has never seen outside of its walls. Instead, her life consists of magical study and learning to control her abilities. Though she loves to read about the outside world and dreams of the wonders it might hold. She does understand, however, that magic is dangerous and this is likely the safest place for her to reside.

Taught by the Circle of Magi, Frey has basic schooling in history, literature, and other subjects, but advanced study in magics of her own accord.
