Snowjon

Stallion.

Snowjon's getting up there at age 50. Still, Edic Throes live longer than that, so he's not going anywhere any time soon.

He carries only the finest, most lightweight tack, black in color. It's made from weatherproof, beautifully tooled leather, and custom fit to him. A simple snaffle is the only bit he needs, but he can be ridden without anything, as he is highly trained. His bridle is simple and has no noseband or throatlatch, only a thin browband. The reins are braided and worn from many uses, and his saddle pad id black with his name embroidered in silver thread upon the left side.

Snowjon is a grey, but by now, his fur has all faded to snow white.

He's a very shaggy pony, being a winter breed, with a fluffy mane and tail. Even his summer coat is fairly long, and would require heavy clipping if he was living in a hot area.

He's stocky, thicc, barrel shaped, and has a short back. His breed are intended to be pack-ponies and children's mounts, so they must be strong, hardy, and sturdy. He fits all of those criteria, and is a standard of his breed. His head carries the classic pony look, narrowing at the muzzle to form a triangle shape, and he has a thick, short neck. His hooves are black and well-formed, resistant to cracking and wear.

Snowjon has an old scar on his withers from a battle he was in years ago, and a single black spot on his left hind at the croup. His constantly pinned ears are another good indicator, as most the other Throes are quite sweet and gentle.

Grass. Protecting his herd. Thinking about grass, hay alfalfa, or his herd. Dreaming about oats. Dreaming about mares. Biting all who annoy him, which is pretty much all he meets. Keeping an eye on his dumb rider. Showing off to the mares. Chasing the other stallions away from the mares. Napping. Going ZOOM around his pasture from time-to-time.

This pony's as fit as a fiddle.

ANGER. RAGE. LOYALTY. FIGHT. Ooh, what a pretty mare, I'd better act all fancy in case she's watching. INSURMOUNTABLE FURY. OTHER SYNONYMS FOR ANGER HERE. BITE. KICK. PUT UP WITH STUPID HUMANS. Defnietly never feel even the slightest amount of pride concerning his foals, nuh, uh, he's too prickly for that mushy stuff. DIE TO DEFEND RIDER. BITE RIDER. ONLY HE CAN BITE HIS RIDER.

Endurance, intelligence, creative problem solving, speed, spotting danger, protecting his owner, makin' lightning quick moves to keep anyone on his back safe, being the boss, keeping his herd safe, being the bravest pony you've ever seen. Did I mention intelligence? Because if so, I didn't mention it enough.
List of skills he's trained to do:
- Not let anyone but his rider on his back, unless told it's okay by said rider
- Evasive maneuvers to avoid attacks
- Determining who's a threat, and who's a friend.
- Some basic battle moves that the drestiers know, such as kicking, biting, flying leaps, and creating space via striking, spinning and lateral movement.
- Along the same vein, he's train to do a piaffe (trotting in place) as a way of keeping enemies at bay, as it allows him to kick and strike quickly
- Stealth: not calling out at other horses, standing perfectly still, walking really heccin' slowly
- Stay by downed rider
- Kneel so injured rider could climb back on
- Call for, or retrieve help if rider cannot climb back on
- Protect downed rider from being trampled
- Parade marching
- Coming when called by a whistle
- Pulling a cart
- Following voice commands from the ground
- Guarding another person upon rider's request
- To be ridden without any tack
- various tricks that his rider's taught him for fun, such as rearing, passage, flying lead changes, free lounging, and stealing things out of people's pockets.

Things he figured out by himself how to do:
- Untie himself
- How to lie next to his rider in cold weather to provide warmth
- How to catch his rider if he starts to fall
- How to knock his rider off via low tree branch if he gets annoyed enough
- How to trick people
- How to escape anything and anyone.
- How to catch his rider if they're walking next to him and they stumble
- How to find his way home, from where ever he is.
- How to find a safe place should his rider be too injured to guide him

I mean, he's prejudiced against everybody who isn't his rider. He also thinks everything and everyone in the world including his rider, are idiots.

He's mean, a one-man-pony, and will buck anyone, including his rider, off if he gets too annoyed.

Java, his rider, Fronzie, his filly, Northwest, his colt, Saltwater, his mare, Freckles, another mare, Rainfoot, his FAVORITE mare who is also the lead mare, and Avasset, another stallion the pasture over.
His favorite friesian is a mare named Sootless, who he constantly flirts with.

He is God in his own eyes.

He has about 20 mares, give or take. When the whole herd's together, he has round forty mares, stallions and foals running in his pasture and adjacent pastures.

Boss stallion, attack pony

Dappled grey or palomino. All his mares are grey, in various stages from black, to dappled to white, and he met one beautiful mare named Mattila who is a palomino.

He was born in Edir, in the kingdom of Dragga, in the North Countries, on the planet Phouka in the year 789 AD (Ara of Division). He was trained from a young age to become a pack pony. He's only ever been in one battle, when he was ten, and his rider was killed. He was taken by the enemy, but escaped back to Dragga, where he was put to pasture to help him heal. Later, he was given to prince Java as a birthday gift, and trained to be his personal mount. He has stayed there ever since, leading a good life in the pasture with his mares, foals, and his rider.

High, for a pony. He's been trained to do a LOT, as you know.

Throes are an ancient breed, their history spanning back to the First Age.

The thing to know about the color grey, is that they are born black, and fade to grey, then white as they age. All white horses you see are actually grey, unless they have pink skin, and only then are they considered white.

They originally were just a mash of many other breeds, but have been refined into their own breed.
They are a very protected breed, and their breeders are cagey with their studs and broodmares, only allowing the most trusted of customers to breed, and never from out of country, or with another type of horse.
