Was Bambi's commanding officer, she was his XO. Is a Rear Admiral. Is trying to find her to convince her what happened wasn't her fault! Wants her to rejoin the force/re-enlist, he claims they need her because she's really good at what she does. (Maybe he believes it was really his fault... or it was really his fault... his own guilt drives him to pursue her.)
Is a really nice guy!
The "feds" don't like pirates, though, is discouraged she's turned pirate, wants to save her but otherwise get rid of pirates. Perhaps wants to find the pirate haven and wipe it out. Pirates are mostly affiliated with an enemy of the current administration so are generally frowned upon/the feds want them gone/eliminated.
His XO on this current mission is jealous of Bambi and the Admiral's "obsession" with getting her back and tries to find excuses to just kill her/wants to kill her....
