Kirin is easily one of my most powerful characters. He is a mental manipulator, capable of mind-control, telepathy, and telekinesis. He can attempt multiple people at once, though it drains him easily. He also has to be nearby. Occasionally, Kirin can do a shadow-fade thing, where he fades into shadows. Much like Nico di Angelo, however, he’s in danger of fading away whenever he does it.

Kirin’s mother died in childbirth, and his father was out of the picture since his conception so he has no idea who his parents are. He was given to an orphanage that cared mostly about riches and not the kids, so he grew up fairly neglected and hurt. When his powers started to show up at age 15, the king took notice and brought him to live in the palace. Two years later, he started working for him. This is also around the time he dyed his hair from it’s original black. He works for the king because he has practically no other choice. No, he doesn’t love him. He has been tortured by the king into staying before.

Kirin is a mental manipulator - he is telepathic, a mind reader, and a mind controller. If you’ve read Animorphs, kind of like the Yeerks from that, except the longer he controls someone the easier it is to keep control, except if they are consistently fighting back. However, it does require him to be fairly close to the person. He can control or talk to multiple people at once, but it’s much harder to keep the control.
