Background

Valorie Ann Stringer grew up in a small town in Arizona. Her mother raised her and her brother after Valorie’s father died when she was 3. She had a relatively normal childhood, being popular and having a good many friends. Valorie had always had an interest in theater and writing music. In high school her choir was ‘invited’ to Carnegie hall after their director pulled a few strings. Valorie had a solo and was really well liked. She soon became famous in the Southwest for her voice. Valorie went to the University Of Southwest California and got married to Gerald Tillman when she was 23. She was a happy-go-luck person around this time. She had only one child, June Tillman, who died when she was 5 from a car accident. Valorie didn’t know how to handle this and soon fell into a depression. She ran out her husband two years later, saying to the media that she was the victim. She then retired and taught music and dance lessons.
