History
Pretty much she was in love with this wealthy dude, but after a while, she became very controlling of him, it got to the point that she controlled when he could go outside, when he could go and talk to others, to the point of when he could eat. She made him sicker and sicker, in order to be able to get his attention, as well as the attention of others who thought she was the poor maiden in the situation (Munchausen syndrome by proxy)
One day, when she was away, he ran away, leaving behind everything in the mansion.
She was full of grief despite being a horrible person, and barely ate in the months before her suicide. The way she died, she jumped through a glass window on the 4th story floor, but her dress got caught in the frame, and she died hitting her head on the sill inside the house.
This meant that her soul would be forced to stay within the house until she can either enter another living body, or admit to her wrongdoings (she thinks that she was in the right all along)
In the end Jackie and Della manage to exorcise her from Carmen's body, and her soul is trapped in a silver mirror. The mirror is then smashed and melted in a fire, which is a ritual that sends her to hell.
