Joseph wants the best for his people and won't settle for anything less.

He tends to avoid violence, also he doesn't need one.

Joseph believes violence is only ever a last resort. He believes that Neo-Humans should be separate from society only at an early stage of uncertainty, however if their powers are controllable and not hazardous to the user or people around the user they should be allowed to be a free citizen.

He peacefully protested for the categorization system of Neo-Human, making people realize that some have control and aren't dangerous. However those in the Alpha category are considered some of the most powerful. Dangerous Alphas aren't allowed to leave Haven. However Joseph is allowed to leave provided he wears Dampening Belts. He is required to leave since he is a politician and is

Joseph Vega is a stronger catholic compared to most. He believes in God and believes in the good in people. He doesn't follow the bible word for word he just believes in the fundamentals of treating people with equality and kindness.

Protector of Neo-Humans, Ambassador of Neo-Humans

Joseph is the current leader of Haven making him leader and protector of all Neo-Humans in the U.S. He is considered the president of Neo-Humans.

When he was a boy his power was killing him, before Prodigy became more careful with his power to save Joseph from himself, making him one of the most powerful Neo-Humans today. Joseph was forever grateful and always used his power in anyway to help people. He never became a superhero but more of a protector, leader and helper.

Despite this he trains to use his powers in combat scenarios but only as a last resort, never the first thing. He does eventually use his powers in combat.

He is given the name North-Star because he is like a guiding light to his kind, sometimes literally.

He recognizes that some Neo-Humans are dangerous and some are even criminals and that the world may not be ready to accept something like that. He organized Haven and helped build it. He hired architects and scientists to build a city in Montana that could handle Neo-Humans. Not contain them but make sure they don't burn the place down.

Joseph has the power to produce light. He can use it to burn people. He can make it so bright he blinds people. He can launch it out in large explosive orbs.

He can make his whole body glow in a white light. He can also fly but only when he is glowing. He can reach speeds faster than light. When he glows his body is so hot bullets melt before they touch him.

Before his powers were upgraded he always used to glow and it began to burn him out and slowly kill him. When Prodigy helped he gained control over his power and used it to benefit him.
