Ryuzaki is the son of a russian homicide detective and a japanese architect. The mother moved in to Japan, after a job promotion and met Ryuzaki's father during an investigation, when he saved her from being run over by a truck drove by a suspect. His intervention saved her life and helped her solve the case. After the events, the two of them got a little closer discovering they had many things in common, eventually falling for each other, getting married and having a son 2 years later.
Even though his father was quirkless, the boy inherited a variation of his mother's quirk, which came a bit as a surprise to his parents, who were happy about it nonetheless. Both parents loved him very much, trying to give him all they could. Unfortunately, the dangers of his mother's job weren't gone and one day, while returning from school with his father, they were met with a police officer informing them that the boy's mother had been found murdered in an alley. Ryuzaki himself felt extremely shook by his mother's death, given he was only 6 at the time. After this event, he continued to live with his father but never ceased thinking about what happened to his mother. He started dedicating his time to finding out the truth behind his mother's murder, although he never got anywhere. In time, he understood he had to stop obsessing over the case or he would only harm himself even more.
After some therapy he was finally able to bury his frustration and leave his mother's murder behind, choosing to focus on his own life instead. After discovering his passion for music while in therapy, he started dedicating time to composing instrumental music, which also helped him reconnect with his dad after all that had happened. After finishing middle school, he managed to enroll into UA, looking forward to become a hero and carry on his mother's legacy, secretly hoping his mother's mother will one day be solved
