Maiyah was born to Edward and Elena Collins in North Aldan Lake, 1962. Her best friend growing up was Matthew Uriah Owens, her next-door neighbor. They were very close, and when Maiyah's parents divorced, it was Owens' family who took care of her when her father was out working for the ALPD (Aldan Lake Police Department.)
