She rarely opens up and lets people in but when she does it's because they matter to her and she doesn't want to push them away.

Jacqueline comes from a family of demon hunters.

So far the Ash's have been fighting demons for hundreds of years. Her family is just naturally hated by anything paranormal. But over the years an understanding was adopted, don't mess with the Ash's they will kill you. Grant (Jacqueline's father) is twinned with Tobias Ash. Tobias was more the hunter than Grant. Grant stuck to research and protection. When the word was Grant is soft and Tobias was getting busy hunting, a group of demons attacked Jacqueline's home. Her mother and father were possessed while they tortured her. Jacqueline escaped and shot her parents with the family gun.
Tobias then had to look after Jacqueline and trained her to be a hunter.

Tobias was never good at parenting since after a few days he left to find the monsters who killed his brother. Jacqueline has trained to kill demons and eventually she seeks them out professionally. She wants nothing more than to find all of the monsters who had a hand in her parent's murder.

When she meets Richter he's investigating a mine shaft being used by Ghouls. She thinks Richter is just another demon and tries to kill him. They meet the next day and he forces her to work with him.

Her family is known as Ash's because of the first Ash. No-one knows his name but his story echoes. He was a bastard of no-name who had no family. He was made famous for hunting mostly Vampires all across Europe. He would Impale and burn them. People soon called him Ash. He started a family who followed in his footsteps.

Jacqueline has blessed blood running through her veins. Not many families have this since priests don't do this anymore. Not since they realized they were kind of doing blood magic and it seemed wrong to them. Back in the old days, her ancestors had their blood blessed. It's like having holy water running through your veins. However this gift became a genetic one and like most, it skips a generation, namely her fathers. Blessed blood only allows light protection against demons. She can't be possessed also vampires can't drink her blood.

Jacqueline has an heirloom that has served her family since WW2 a Remington 870 with an axe blade instead of a bayonet. The barrel is lengthened to fit the axe blade (It's a concept that was used on blunderbuss's first okay Agents of SHIELD did it second I'm doing it third)

It has several names Demons call it "Bad Blood" Jacqueline calls it "Lullaby" because when Tobias found her she was in a corner cradling the gun.
The gun sets fire to demon blood so basically is the most painful death for a demon or monster.

Jacqueline wears a red Tab Sherpa jacket with a woolen collar, ripped blue jeans, a white top and black boots.
