Ness is of an average height with an apple body type with a curvy build. They have a round face with a short, wide nose and full lips. Her hair has tight, thick curls and is usually worn down, where it falls to her mid-back.

Ness has a bright, clear voice and laugh

When in the orphanage, Ness wore the uniform of a white shirt, pleated skirt, and sweater. Once they leave, however, they trade that out for jeans and a loose yellow and white shirt or sweatshirt.

Ness is hopeful and kind. She sticks very firmly to her beliefs of making the world a better place, despite others telling her not to bother. Though generally good-natured and sweet, if she or her friends are threatened, she can quickly become dangerous and a force to be reckoned with. Ness doesn't frighten easily and can hold her ground in both physical and verbal fights, although she isn't as physically skilled as the others. She was raised in a very strict orphanage, and so she still has some bottled-up feelings to work through. Initially said feelings were mostly involving her gender, but she still often catches herself hesitating before doing something they would have frowned upon. Notably, Ness is the member of the group with the lowest kill count, having only ever killed three people, one of which was a hit and two of which were would-be attackers.

Very good balance, strong gut instincts, embroidery, reading, occasionally makes jewelry.

Naive, gullible, not as physically adept as Lyra Fenris and Beatrix Barkley are. Ness also lacks their ruthlessness, and often hesitates before inflicting harm, which can have dangerous consequences.

• Ness is the youngest of the quartet by a year.


• Ness mostly uses she/her pronouns, but doesn't mind they/them. She does, however, mind being called a woman or a girl, and will be quick to correct people who say she is.


• She likes to try new things with her hair, especially if she's going to be moving around a lot since she doesn't want it to be in her way.


• Although she loves having her hair down, she ties it up or back if she knows the next assignment will be intense.


• 
  Lyra Fenris gave her her first knife. She's only used it once.


• When Ness was fourteen, metallic tattoos were super popular. She got one, a simple golden band around her right bicep, and then the fad died out shortly after. She still likes it though.


• Ness reads a lot, but mostly the same few books. She loves fantastical adventures, specifically portal fantasy. If she was in our world, she'd adore Alice In Wonderland.


• She laughs when she's nervous, and tends to fidget with her fingers as well.


• Although she's a good actor and can usually keep a straight face, she sometimes has a difficultly controlling her facial expressions, especially her eyebrows.


• She embroiders her clothing out of boredom, and to add some extra color to it.

One of the many orphans in Creston, Ness was raised in a very strict orphanage in Aurum City. She stayed inside nearly all of the time, and mostly just read and did needlework, as well as aiding the other children. The conditions were stifling, and so she was more than a little relieved to be broken out by a group of would-be assassins who were looking for a different orphan. Unwilling to die so soon after her first taste of freedom, Ness ended up joining the group, and the four of them have worked together since.
