He was a poet who became determined to become famous. He'd sit in his room for days at a time, hardly eating, just writing every poetic thought he could think of. When he came out of his room, he was still writing. His friends and family asked him to tone it down and tried to take him to a doctor, but he insisted (while rhyming) that he was fine.
One day they convinced him to go to the fair with them, and as they were walking he saw the portal to the Don't Starve world. He thought it would inspire him, so he insisted on going in. Now he's stuck, like ya do.
