Lucas is passionate and hot-blooded, unafraid to stand up for what he believes in. He doesn't remember much about his early years (which is a sore spot for him) since he was found in a basket atop Galantaea Hill. He adopted that as his surname. He later learns that he is the son of King Aspen of the Autumn Court and a mortal women. This reveal shakes him to his core, and he withdraws into himself, believing his entire life a lie. He eventually gains confidence in his identity as a half-fae and as the Prince of Autumn, and uses his new power and status to help defeat Oleander and later, the Erl King.

Lucas Granteir was found abandoned in a basket on top of Galantaea Hill as a baby, and was raised in an orphanage. As a child, he eventually met the Carinter sisters when they arrived at the same orphanage, befriending the three of them and eventually falling in love with Ophelia. When Ophelia is lured into a faery circle, Lucas follows her, being badly injured and left to die in the Woods as a result. He is recovered by Esther and Cedar, and taken to the Autumn Court to heal, where his identity as the bastard son of King Aspen is revealed.

Less education than Vivian and Giana, he can read and write, and knows some basic mathematics.
