Esther is bubbly and cheerful most of the time, going out of her way to cheer up others. However, due to her trauma at Oleander hands, she is sometimes quite volatile and prone to mood swings that make her anxious, irritable, and upset. She is very protective of her friends and will do anything to keep them (and all others) out of Oleander's grasp.

Cheering others up, has a very strong gut instinct of what will happen, playing the flute, embroidery.

Noblewoman in the Autumn Court before marrying Oleander and becoming the Queen of the Court of Darkness, although she was more or less a trophy wife.

Born to Autumn nobility, Esther befriended Prince Aspen as she grew up and became a respected presence in the courts. She met and fell in love with Oleander, and the pair got married soon after. Esther traveled with him to the Court of Darkness, where she lived happily with him until he suddenly changed very drastically, going from a well-meaning but hedonistic man to a controlling, cruel tyrant. He began to cheat on her with her cousin Calla, a devoted follower of his court, and exposed this publicly to humiliate her, as well as to announce that he had been married to Queen Poplar of Summer when he'd married her. The stress and abuse she endured at this new Oleander's hands led to her losing their child, as fae babies are immensely difficult to keep. She eventually escapes him after Aspen notices a change in her and sends Autumn soldiers to free her, and she moves to a smaller, much less crowded part of the Autumn Court to live with her friend Cedar. She soon meets Maia Greybriar, Oleander's newest wife, and can tell that she's being manipulated into the relationship via magic. She and Cedar free Maia, who moves in with them and eventually Esther and Maia fall in love.
