he looks like the type of person who's normally shut in his house all day playing games and eating junk food.

avoids people as much as possible or actively forces them away by utilising his powers.
During business exploits he's the silent stoic type who stands on the side and oversees things, trying to keep the situation from escalating.
When playing games and online in general, however, he's the most emotionally and verbally expressive person in his teams with online friends and also takes the time to listen to there problems and actively tries to help.

A lot of Carl's online friends have problems with the government in one way or another without being criminals (some can be defined as criminal though). Combined with his own experiences in society he knows how hard it can be to be accepted if you have less then ideal powers or no powers at all. This has convinced him that something needs to be changed.

He's gullible and is prone to listening to anyone who seemingly axcepts him for what he is and is friendly to him on the most basic levels. He tends to classify these people as friends right away despite having experienced betrayal from people like that multiple times.
He also doesn't learn much from his mistakes either.

socially seen he's kind of stupid because he either doesn't like anyone or he only likes the people who are remotely kind to him. he trusts the people he likes to an almost dangerous extent and is almost unable to make a judgement on a situation himself when his "friend" has already voiced their opinion.
He's the kind of guy who'd jump of a bridge if someone he likes would do so.

he has reasonable control over it but most of it is controlled unconsciously by his emotions. how more stress inducing a situation is the less control he has. this is why he has never had a successful solicitation or date.

it started manifesting around the age of seven but didn't become a real problem until he hit puberty.

a curse, due to it he has always been a stinky kid since it was hard to get the stench out of his clothes. It kept most others away from him, making him into a true basement-dweller.

Skunk gas:
he can excrete an extremely stinky gas through his pores similar to the gas of a skunk. It doesn't just stink though. the gas messes with someone's blood's ability to transport oxygen properly. this causes them to pass out though it's rarely enough to kill unless the person already has trouble breathing.

his power started to become notable at the age of seven, steadily growing in potency. luckily for him, the worst at that point could be combated with special soap, twice daily showers, a diet and hormone regulating pills.
When he hit puberty his powers went in overdrive to the point where people could barely be on the same floor as him without passing out from the gas. as a result people, even his family started avoiding him like the plague. he started following lessons online and gaming excessively. with the second activity, he met his best online friend (Un1c0rnSMSH3r, aka Lyra Morowdawn- technician).
The moment he was old enough he was kicked out of the parental house and given a small home on the outskirts of New Barcelonis with a large garden arranged by his parent. this way no neighbours would be bothered by him.
He recently made a new friend out of a man with long black hair and golden eyes who gives him some minor jobs every now and then.

his new friend is Harold Termorsand- mind manipulation and the jobs often amount to providing a distraction or limiting resistance during a robbery.
He meets Missy during one of these raids as she's reporting on it. He does not like his interaction with her nor that she seems to disrespect his new friend.
