Ki-chin has long, mustache like tendrils which seem to be unique as neiteh Pip nor any other recorded feary dragon has these.
She also has several bitemarks of old scuffles across her slender boddy

though she often remains out of sight her bright and cheerful chuckling can often be heard around the camping grounds of the circus.
She swings her tail when delighted and curls her back like an angry cat when threatened, scared or mad.
Her flight can best be described as a graceful combination of the delicacy of a butterfly and the confident skymastery of a drgon
Ki-chin is also a very proud mother and fondly tells people of Pip's latest achievement, be it learning to fly on his own or eating a whole slice of chocolate pie.

Raising Pip on her own is a heavy task and the circus provides a safe home and constant food source to aid her in return for helping out during shows.
She likes seeing the world and being free to play pranks and although she likes living with the circus she misses the Feywild and is planning to return there as soon as Pip is old enough to care for himself.

sometimes her pranks get to close to the border between funny and dangerous/harmful.
she also doesn't seem to have the concept of there's a time and place for everything down as she occasionally plays pranks at the worst times. Example: dumping a bucket of water on someone in the middle of winter

Ki-chin can tell what spices are missing from a meal by smell alone. She can also find all hidden treats in the camp in under an hour.

Eating sweets and going around playing pranks on people with Pip.

like most faery dragons she's very bright and cheerful most of the time with a positive outlook on life. She's, however, still a caring being and gets easily worried when she doesn't know were he child is or about her fellow circus-folk when they're under attack.

Superior Invisibility. She can magically turn invisible along with whatever she is carrying at will. She can also communicate with people telepathically over a distance of 60 ft., has some sort of resistance against magic and can cause people to lauth by exhaling a special gas.
She can also cast a wide selection of spells that tie into illusions

Malin du Val: she likes the leader of the circus as they share an affinity for pranks and illusions. Malin is also the one who first offered her a position at the circus to provide a safe and steady environment to grow up in for Pip.

Void: she dislikes the black cat that is always stalking and watching from the shadows

Ki-chin spent most of her life in the untamed forests of the Feywild or living on the rooftops of the city Baldur's gate in Faerûn with a strong preference for the Feywild.
It is in the large city that she met another Faery dragon (who shall not be named) who acted as a familiar to a local wizard. she became very close and intimate with this other Faery dragon, but when Pip'ssss egg? (do Faery dragons lay eggs?) came into existence he started avoiding her with all his might. His blatant obviousness of not wanting to care for his offspring angered Ki-chin to the bone but there wasn't much she could do.
She took Pip's egg(?) and eventually found a relatively safe nook in the wall behind the coal storage of an inn. She used her skills to steal food from the guests and to hide her hole as best she could.
One day a strange circus came to town and the smell of baked sweets lured her out into its bright lights and bustle. overcome by hunger and her love for all things sweet and chocolaty Ki-chin became overzealous and started to steal as much as she could carry. The circus folk were however more perceptive than she had expected and although her invisibility and illusions were enough to shake off most pursuers, Malin du Val and her black cat were very persistent and seemed unshakable.
After an hours-long chase over the rooftops and through narrow streets, the cat and Malin finally caught her. Impressed by Ki-chin's abilities rather than being angry about the stolen food, the blonde human offered her a position as special effects manager in exchange for three meals main meals, sweets and a safe warm home.
Ki-chin accepted the offer as she's always a sucker for sweets and it would probably be far better circumstances to raise her now hatched child.

Being a miniature dragon Ki-chin naturally has a hoard of her own. where Pip is still trying to find out what exactly it is they like, Ki-chin mainly hoard 2 things: recipes for sweets and shiney, marble-like rocks.
The reason Ki-chin didn't raise Pip in the Feywild is due to the many unpredictable creatures and extreme circumstances that rule that plane.
