Being alive for so long and given the vast amount of knowledge she obtained after taking over, she’s incredibly wise. However, she preferred to study psychology.

Before her death and turning, she was born as Aurelia Altergott . She dropped that name when she became a vampire. As Aurelia, she lives with her father and two older brothers, and younger sister. The mother unfortunately passed away due to her becoming progressively ill over the years. As the woman of the house, she assumed the generic woman role and did her best to keep the home orderly and her family members presentable. By the time , she turned 29, she’d begun to have this paranoid feeling of being watched. It went on for about a year and a few months before she had actually been attacked and stolen away. The vampire who turned her was of a more ancient, hidden race originating from Italy. As a newly turned vampire, she often struggled with her new abilities, weaknesses, and health overall. She also struggled with how badly she had been treated given the hierarchical system that the vampires followed. Eventually, it got to the point where she had had enough of the confusion and torment and decided to Escape it by ridding herself of the vampire that tormented her so. She used methods like taking lives and bargaining. all of stuff she feels a sliver of shame of doing. In the end, she managed to seize the title of head for herself when the former vampire’s power had weakened enough. He faced years of tortured before finally being killed. After his death, people under his tyrannical rule looked to Aurelia for leadership and guidance, which she reluctantly did. This is also the time when she had dropped her name and took on the name Veronica Eturpe Nox.

In June 1901, she fell in love with a young man from Switzerland and for most of the relationship, she hid the fact that she was a vampire in fear of him rejecting her. However, she was found out, but she was the one who broke of the relationship by leaving. They reunited seven years later and rekindled the relationship. From their union came Aimé-Noël.

In 2013, she had received word from an old family friend were having some issues in terms of violence. In the midst of the fighting, an orphanage had been destroyed, the people in it slaughtered save for a young boy. Veronica’s taken in the child as her own . She will give him the choice to either become a vampire or stay as a human by his own will when he’s older. Which ever he chooses, she’ll continue to stay by him.
