Freckles densely packed across the bridge of his nose and sparsely spread elswhere.

Although he was once sweet and open, he's become rather standoffish and cynical. He prefers to deal with things on his own and would rather not meet new people. He's not particularly shy; he's just been disappointed and insulted before.

He's not very happy with his current social circle, having approximately 5 people who would call him a friend and 2 people he would call friends back, but he's decided that it isn't going to get any better for him on that front, so he's better off on his own.

He's very curious and investigative in nature as well as skeptical of what he hears. He hold grudges for a long time and it takes a lot for him to admit his feelings are hurt.

He wants to find out what happened to his manor, and who the two women who duked it out there were.

When Talent was a toddler, he was playing on his parents' estate when he wandered off just a bit too far, and he found an injured vila. He was able to recognize that she was hurt, so he brought what his parents would give him: a bandaid. At first she denied him, and hissed at him even, but as he only offered her bandaids and candy, she realized ththaththat he wasn't a threat. She was appreciative of his efforts to help her even though he was just an infant, so she left him the gift of her blessing and made him her vilenik.

Becoming a vilenik made him inherently magical, and that magic attracted all sorts of attention from kind creatures as well as malicious ones. His parents, afraid, reached out for help, and they were led to Angela. She'd done all the book work and at least had a baseline idea on what she might do, so they left him in her charge. Together, they moved into the manor, and learned how to live with each other. She raised him and wrote books on him until he reached his early teens.

Once Angela retired, other caretakers were hired to deal with him and protect him. Most of them left with some injury (one having a new perspective on life and with one less leg), and at least one died, each of them wrongly under the impression that they were in charge (of Talent) and had the situation under control.

He'd been at the manor under the guard of a woman named Jenny, but after a magical battle between two women and his vila, it was desecrated. His parents decided to take him back in after 21 years, and he finally met his younger sister, Bridgette.

He has a strong affinity for nature based in magic from the vila.
