Jagged deer antlers, and unlike Oberon, they are not part of a headdress. One is badly broken and partially severed during his duel with Oberon.

The Erl King is cruel and manipulative. He wants nothing but power, and will do anything to get it. He is demanding and slightly mad, and will stop at nothing to succeed. He is patient, which makes him all the more dangerous; he's immortal and therefore has no qualms with spending a century working towards taking control of only a few courts. He enjoys the suffering of others, and likes to pick his enemies off one by one. Has a particular bitterness towards Oberon, since he views him as superior to Oleander but was not the Summoned who partnered with him, since Oberon summoned Robin.

Manipulation, climbing, combat. He cannot lie, but is incredibly gifted when it comes to using manipulative language to get his way. Also is in full control of Oleander for a majority of the first book, and more or less uses him as a puppet.

To seize all of the Faerie courts (and if he cannot have them, he will destroy them), and then the human world of Alchester.

Playing the long con by controlling Oleander, imprisoning or killing his enemies to advance, scoping out Alchester and the Elnore Woods to prepare for the war he's leading to.

Cruel, manipulative, deceitful, ruthless, power hungry and power crazed, exceptionally arrogant

Against the humans, believing them inferior. And honestly, against anyone besides himself. He sees the Fae as overconfident and easily fooled, and Robin--the only other Summoned he interacts with--as a foolish child playing pretend.

Near unlimited powers, but specializes in manipulation and mind control.

Oleander, who he controls and possesses to gain notice and power. Also an iron sword, which leeches into Oleander's flesh and causes him immense pain, but allows for the Erl King to kill other fae.

The Erl King is a Summoned, and lives in statis in a pocket of reality before being summoned by a faery. This time it happened to be Oleander, a hedonistic and arrogant young prince who was set on gaining power and taking the throne from his father. The Erl King agreed to help train him, and possessed Oleander a few years into his reign as the King of the Court of Darkness in order to gain more sway in his court. He began to use his mind manipulation powers to control the minds of young mortal women (namely Maia Greybriar and Marya Lenotes) and lure them to his kingdom and his bed, going through many marriages in only a century.
