She's a very curious and investigative person. She tends to be standoffish and a bit of a lone wolf because she often feels that interests cut her off from the rest of the merpeople she associates with. She has a bit of a temper and thinks that for anything to be done right, she has to do it herself.
Shell isn't averse to asking for help on occasion, especially when she needs the extra hands or an opinion. Sometimes, she avoids asking for help because she doesn't think that anyone would want to help her.
She was raised very superstitious, but nowadays she tries to use the scientific method on those beliefs.
