As character: Pretty relaxed, appearing unconcerned by many mundane issues (such as hunger, heat, or exhaustion) due to his extra-planar nature. He craves validation and has a strong instinct for making life for little mortals easier. He likes to teach and help others, and can often manage to do so well. However, he sometimes feels like doing so is the "long way around." The methods and powers he would instinctively reach for, as an Imadjinn, to help, teach, or contribute have been denied him. The lack of flexibility he is afforded to use his powers, even for what he perceives to be a net positive for others, can leave him rather frustrated and dour.
As author avatar: Pessimistic, more often than not. Makes disparaging, but private, remarks on current situations (like long lectures, etc).

Enjoys absorbing high-level education from other universes. Could probably get several hundred university graduate-level degrees and doctorates if he applied himself.

Most Imadjinn are content being watchers far removed from the formed, mortal beings that make up the Voices Union. Genius is an exception, loving "the little ones" so much and being so concerned about their wellbeing that he spends most of his time in material form among them. He spends much of his time in the Voices Union hub space, assisting members with managerial and maintenance work. His identity and powers as an Imadjinn are a protected secret as a precaution to everyone involved, though he resents that decision. There has been many a time where he has seen a situation, a reality that could have been saved with an Imadjinn's intervention. He has slowly been able to turn those frustrations into positive actions, such as empowering members to fix things on their own.

He associates mostly with the Cosmic Castaways, as he is used to their empathic tendencies and knows how to work with them. While he is not able to join them in reality-hopping during important missions, he will sometimes tag along as a low-impact creature or entity.
