His ankle and calf on his left leg were previously mangled by a Werewolf leaving horrible scarring.

A burn scar on his right hand as he was forced to use his bare hands to hold silver to a monster to kill it. It killed the monster but he was too burnt. His right palm is completely burnt. Silver super heats

Several cuts on his torso from both beasts and men. Daggers, sword, arrows, claws, teeth, you name it he has a scar from one.

Godfried is motivated by his morals. Folk see monsters Godfried sees something he has to kill. Folk see a Haunted Forest Godfried sees a threat.

He can be stubborn at times, sometimes cynical, minor pyromaniac.

Godfried is a skilled painter.

He is also considered a legendary swordsman, of course when it's a monster he's fighting, he only just gets by when it comes to people but only due to his training at the Sword Dancers school.

Painting, fishing, living off the land, farming. All the normal things he dreams of doing. Also, he can't stand castle life. He'd prefer a cabin.

Godfried is a committed loyal and simple man. He's a good teacher, cynical at times, brutally honest. He's also patient. He's been waiting to leave the Lantern Order so he can return to the love of his life.

Also a minor pyromaniac.

Godfried's father was a mapmaker whom he travelled the known world. When he was 14 they were charting Klaith and the surrounding isles. There he met Nilsa Halpain a shieldmaiden who he fell in love with.

When he had to leave he decided to instead train at the Sword Dancers school. He met Leon Grimoire who trained him in the art of using a blade. 6 years later at 20, he had completed his training. Leon's father had passed from old age so he had to fight his twin for the right to rule his home of Carrow. His twin Kayson Grimoire instead took the rule, but Leon took command of the armies. They worked hand in hand.

Godfried instead found out he was remarkable at killing monsters. He also discovered the value of a good shield. 10 years the Lantern Order appeared and needed professional Monster Hunters as that was their new business. Godfried didn't hesitate, always paid, given good armour and steel and now new comrades to fight monsters with. During this time he would make frequent visits to Klaith and it turns out Nilsa was in charge of her clan now. Since she was a leader she had to be promised to an eventual Jarl for political reasons, so she had to meet Godfried in secret.

We meet Godfried at the age of 48

At first he was homeschooled.

He then travelled to the sword dancers school in Carrow, where he was taught by Leon Grimoire.

Godfried is the leader of the Lantern Order after Yousef Craque.

While most monster hunters stick to a general type of monster, Godfried prefers to hunt any and all, he's not the best at killing any one type, he's just the best at being a Jack of all trades (He's not the only one who does this)

Godfried's at the point in his life where he wants to finally settle down. He's getting too old to chase monsters across the world and he's getting too old to lead and the love of his life is still waiting for him.

He'd be lying if he said he hated fighting, hated hunting.
Godfried is met with crisis after crisis that needs his attention, he wants to move away and settle down but he won't abandon his men and women when they need him.

Godfried first joined the Lantern Order way back in the beginning.
The Bandit King/ Cad Yule had taken Fort Craque

A gambeson cloak with steel armour protecting his neck and the top half of his chest. He also has light steel pauldrons.
The gambeson itself reaches past his knees.
He wears steel gauntlets that cover his wrists but leather gloves.
Even steel shin pads over his boots.
A fur cloak for the winter.
He carries a kite shield with a Lantern inside the centre for light since he can't use his lantern in combat.
A special lantern designed to light his sword on fire.
