With a rounder face, Melissa has close set eyes, with a thick set of lashes. Most of her facial features are quite soft, giving her a younger look. Her nose is smaller, and quite petite, curving upwards.

Overall, her skin is quite smooth. Most likely because she moisturizes her skin quite often.

Her hands are cool, and just as smooth feeling as the rest of her.

The give off a soft raw feel, from her constant biting on them.

Her face is quite smooth, with little to no acne at almost all times.

It's quite soft, yet not to the fluffy extent,,, just incredibly soft.

Normally cold shouldered shirts, whether they be loose or form fitting, it doesn't matter to her.

When Melissa gets angry, you best be careful. With her typical sweet and innocent demeanor, you wouldn't know her when you saw her mad. She'll grow cold, and snappish. Quite irritable when mad, she'll pick a fight with almost anyone. She's also the type to expect you to figure out what's wrong, just for the sake that she doesn't feel like telling you. Especially if you were what made her mad in the first place. Her actions may be immature, but she does get over it eventually.

In a good mood, you'll see her dragging someone along behind her with a big smile. She could chatter away for hours without needing to stop. Though she always takes note of her victim companion to make sure she's not bugging them too badly at least. This is her typical mood, so it's a quite familiar scene for anyone that knows her.

Similar to her anger, when she's upset she grows distant from almost everyone. She finds it unacceptable to let anyone see her when she's down or out of it. It feels so backward from what she normally is, that she tries to pretend she's alright even when not. The only people who ever see her cry, are the ones that found her while she was already doing so. Even then, she tries to pretend she's alright.

In a typically stressful situation, Melissa goes and locks herself off to try and relax. She doesn't want to bug anyone with her problems, so she hides when she's able to. Listening to music, reading, or just taking a break from her stressful work typically relaxes her. There is no need to ask someone for help, knowing she can do it on her own.

When she's flustered, her tone of voice will soften, and she'll be quieter. Her face will stay a soft pink, and she'll constantly gnaw on her lower lip. She handles it quite well.

If she's nervous, or trying to think, she'll hum or rock back in forth. She tries to relax to think more clearer.

Proving her use, as an individual in the world. Even with a majority of people around her, telling her what she is and what she can do, she's determined to prove that she can be what she wants.

Melissa can be quite absent-minded, and distracted. Her thoughts trail off, with her short attention span. Though this is minor, and something she's been trying to work on.

Defiance is a stronger flaw, in her character. It's quite difficult for her to let someone control her, as she felt like that has happened all her life. She hated it and doesn't want it to happen again. So her stubbornness can be something to get around. Though even with her stubbornness, she's a little too quick to forgive and caves in, if she feels they seem sorry. Her big heart can get the better of her sometimes.

She can be oblivious to the world, pretending it's picture-perfect. Putting up a wall, she blocks it out completely. Lying to herself, and saying the world isn't cold-hearted.

Ignoring key factors, and acting on impulse. This doesn't happen too terribly often, but it happens more than she would like it to.

Against those, who think they're better and typically think they have higher authority than everyone else, when really they aren't the kings of the world.

Having played since she was seven years old, Melissa is quite a skilled pianist. Though it's a thing she enjoys doing for fun, more than showing off her skill on stage.

Since she and her brother were the only kids, they had to find things to do together. They didn't want to ignore each other, so they agreed to do something the other liked to help get along. Thus leading to Melissa's skill and enjoyment of playing video games. After years of the two of them playing together, they both got quite skilled in the gaming biz.

Melissa is a typically kindhearted girl and tends to express her emotions in a subtle tone to not scare others off. When she's with someone she trusts, and loves, she'll more freely tell them how she feels, either emotionally or about them.

She's always loved chocolate. No rhyme or reason, it's just been her favorite thing ever since she was little.

Her books have always been her favorite thing. She enjoys falling into a world of her own, and is quite difficult to break out of. They've always been a comforting thing to her.

Eldorado, Mexico

After she was born, Melissa moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona

Public school learning system, in some advanced classes.

(She isn't seventeen by the end of her background. She's currently in the middle of all of this.)
Due to not having the full story planned out, here is a very brief description:

Once moved to America, Melissa had a pretty normal life. Besides her mother being quite controlling, and strict, she was happy. Though slowly as she started getting older, and things started to change mentally, she wasn't as happy.
Middle school came around, and she became incredibly insecure. No thanks to the few students who picked on her, and got in her head.
High school came faster than she would have liked, and she started to take her insecurities into her own hands. With the constant temptation of Eliza Kilo {In Progress}, telling her she was overweight (which, was a complete lie.) and not attractive enough, Melissa started eating less. And wearing a lot more makeup, and quite revealing clothes.
Eventually, as her friends picked up on her strange behavior, and polar opposite personality, she started trying to hide it more. She was always unsteady, trying to avoid her friends, without worrying them.
But her best friend, Laura Trainer {In Progress}, picked up the fact she was starting to look incredibly thin. When approached about it, Melissa brushed it off, leaving her friend with only one choice.
After talking to her parents about it, Laura approached Melissa once more. With the new information given to her, she started to panic. If her parents stopped her from doing this, she would be back where she started.
She didn't like it, but there wasn't much she could do... until she got a better idea.
To look like she was eating, she started to eat more. A lot more. With the increased eating, she took it to an extreme where she would throw it all up later on. It was less suspicious, and she got away with it for longer.
Though as college rolled around, and she met her boyfriend, James Freeman, he picked up on her symptoms in a matter of minutes. Quite concerned, he sat down and talked to her about what was going on. And slowly, she started to spill what was going on.

With lots of therapy, and being watched more carefully, she began to recover from her state of mind. Though once fully recovered, she realized she was only dating James out of a need for someone to take care of her. So they split off.
Now she's working for a lab and is in a good relationship with Austin Brink.
