Extremely obnoxious and then BOOM, asleep. It doesn't matter where, she's going to be asleep no matter what goes on around her.
Irritated and focused on one single thing--food. Extreme caution to anyone who may be in the way
Fiddling with any earrings she might be wearing or pulling at her ear
Brushing stray hairs out of her face or cracking her fingers
Nature
More introverted (I will add more to this later, I promise!)
August has always had a hard time expressing her emotions, and art is really the only way she has to do that. So although she is on the lonely side, she's scared to try and get close to people for fear they wouldn't understand her.
Her new-found insistence on doing things her way leads to inflexibility which, when paired with her refusal to be vulnerable, gives others the impression that she does not see them as worth her time.
August does not always stand up for herself when it counts and has a hard time saying no to people, so she often takes on too much at a time. However, this inability to say no does not completely come from innate goodness, but rather a feeling of guilt.
August's insecurities and feelings of being left out/left behind often blind her to the people who make genuine efforts to reach out to her.
August is extremely observant of her environment and the people around her. This attention to detail has not only served her when it comes to art, but also in reading people.
Artistically gifted
A desire to exceed expectations and feel like she's apart of something that's going to make a difference
She has a hard time connecting with or opening up to people
That she will fail so completely and never make anything of herself
Getting an art scholarship
Following her parents' orders to hang out with Micah less because her grades dropped some; this resulted in a lot of guilt after Micah drowned in a freak accident a few months later.
Rabbit allergy, occasional migraines
Working out, binge-watching animated shows and reading lots of webtoons and comics (for "references"), zoning out while listening to music
Painting or sketching, small animals, moments by herself doing nothing
August gets frustrated when she can't express herself fully in her art or when others are suffering and she can't fix it.
When people get irritated by her talkative/obnoxious bouts
Night owl
August would often stay up until early morning working on various art pieces or binge-reading webtoons or comic books.
Core
We're all going to die someday--live like it.
Visiting a Cathedral in Europe with her parents when she was very young--the sunlight filtering through the stain glass windows in the vast, empty room left an impression on her. Ever since then, she has worked to create art that inspires the same mix of feelings inside of her and hopes that someday, people will feel the same when they look at her art.
August has always been a people-pleaser, but she realized how unhappy that made her. The first real decision she made for herself was enrolling for an art major. Ever since then, she has been less afraid to say no to people and now looks out for herself more and sticks by her opinions and beliefs instead of conforming to those of the people around her.
If you wish to be respected, you must respect others.
If you constantly focus on or look for things to upset you or make you angry, you will always find it. So instead, walk away.
Don't waste your time on people who dislike you; leave them behind and never look back.
You don't have to have love to be happy, and you should never depend on a single person for happiness.
August especially despises people who do things for personal gain despite the consequences or try to manipulate/control others.
August has never seen herself as special or particularly capable. She constantly sees all the ways she needs to improve so she can have something to offer to people. A lot of people think August is a nice person because she's always willing to help others out. But August doesn't really think of herself as a nice person because oftentimes, she only says yes because otherwise, she'd feel guilty. In a way, helping people out with odd jobs is her way of having people who like her without having to be vulnerable to connect with others (if that makes sense.)
August wants to be able to make a living off of her art. She also misses all the traveling she did when she was young. The biggest thing of all, though, would be that she wants people to be able to relate to the emotions she pours into her work.
Any risk to keep ones she loves safe
Being able to look back and say you made a difference doing what you love with people you love.

History
August 18th
Freshman in university
August comes from a well-to-do middle-class family that traveled a lot while she was growing up. Her parents forced her to be involved in a lot of extra curricular activities because it'd look good on college applications. So she was involved in the archery club, chess club, debate club,
Family
Tortise named Caterpillar that she's had for almost seven years
August used to have a very good relationship with her parents as she always did whatever they asked of her, from joining after school club she absolutely hated (like chess club) to what part-time jobs she chose. But since her decision to get an art major, any phone calls with her parents end with a lecture on why she is wasting her time and money. So she doesn't really call or answer their calls anymore.
An only child. So unless you count the three-foot-tall teddy bear she dragged around the house and called Brother...
Pizza ;D
Interactions
It takes a little while for August to feel completely comfortable with people, but once she does, she becomes extremely talkative before shutting up and not saying anything at all for a long stretch before once again talking her friend's ear off. Although not physically affectionate with people, August tries to show how much she cares about someone by doing things/sharing things with them. For example, sharing some of her favorite food with someone or making them food. Okay, honestly, a lot of August's gestures of friendship involve food.
August believes, "Life's too short to bother with people who hate you anyway." But that doesn't stop her from trash-talking people who don't like her or people who irritate her. Sometimes even to their face, as she feels that if you're going to talk trash, you should have the courage/basic respect to do it to their face.
August doesn't know who boys are and even if she did, what would she do? Talk to them?
August doesn't treat boys any differently than she does girls, though she does feel more comfortable around them as she's always just seen as "one of the guys." As far as any relationship other than friends, she's never given it any thought--she's the personification of the word awkward.
Strained, at best, due to the fact that her father wanted her to major in business. However, August decided to go to a less prestigious university. Despite having a scholarship, August still had to work a lot and sometimes only ate one meal a day so she could afford school and art supplies. Her father said she'd get no money from him, which he later more or less retracted. But August has no interest in his help and is determined to do this on her own. This is hard on her, as she's always felt the need to do whatever her parents ask of her.
Sometimes August has her rare moments of wisdom beyond her years and other times she's so obnoxious it's hard to tell. Face wise, she appears older than 18.
Clothing
Casual
Over-sized T-shirts and shorts when painting or sketching for long periods of time, otherwise she wears knee-length shift dresses or loose jeans and those blessed over-sized shirts...basically, August puts comfort above all else when choosing clothes
Over her dead body
So for gear
Clothing:
Fingerloves gloves so she can still sketch easily
Combat boots
Thicker, leather jacket for cold or rainy weather
Extras in backpack:
Sketchpad, pencils, and pens for sketching maps or landmarks
Compass
Poison extraction kit
Lockpicking kit
Flint
Weapons:
.22 rifle and/or bow and arrows
A dagger in each boot and one concealed on her left hip (she's right-handed)
Sharpened hairpin
Four defender rings on each hand so if she had to fight hand to hand (which she's had experience in for four years) she would have had an edge
Tactical pen (these are an actual thing lol not only do they write but they are designed to stab someone and the jagged tip collects DNA via blood) and with all of her sketch supplies, this would make sense
It'd be a hard choice between boots and sandals
Flip-flops
Anything that's loose and comfortable, preferably in neutral or pale colors
Anything fancy or bold. As August puts it, "I'd rather observe than be observed."
Leather bracelets (which she has an unholy amount of that she keeps in two separate wooden jewelry boxes)
Necklaces
Speech
August doesn't necessarily talk a lot because oftentimes she's distracted by "all the references!" for her drawings, but when she does, it's rather fast.
A very minimal amount of Russian she learned from a childhood friend. A large portion of her Russian vocabulary is insults though she could carry a basic conversation if necessary. Her reading and writing are extremely limited, however.
None, though she does say face kind of weird...
Stubbed a toe? No leftovers? Spilled paint everywhere? Can't find her toothbrush? In a particularly good mood? Expect lots of "Sheesh"s
Approaching August while she's sketching or painting? Is a conversation becoming too serious or emotional? Then expect an "Oh my goodness, later!" And if you're lucky, you might even get a "Sheesh" tacked on.
A combination of stupid and sarcastic
