A short, thin old woman either in her 70s or 60s. Dons a blue men's hakama with sandles and a katana. Short greyish-white haired tied up, black or dark brown eyes, beige skin on the darker side.

During certain phases of the moon, most notably full ones, one eye turns deep blue while the other turns deep red. Small horns may sprout on either side of her head.

While relying on her vampiric abilities, her eyes may turn deep red while her nails and teeth become pointed and sharp.

Unlike other vampires who'd given into darkness, Chieri remains human-like in both appearance and mentality outside of when her abilities are used.

She had been working in a teahouse under the clan by the time she was turned. Feeling she was now liberated with her new-found power, she decided to travel the country and become a swordswoman. However, before leaving she had gone and slaughtered all the men who used her and her fellow women as their personal slaves, as well as her ‘employers’, and some of the other prostitutes as well.

Among samurai and other swordsmen she was known as a demon. She was a force to be reckoned with, willful and ruthless, chasing after the adrenaline of a good fight while craving more of the skill she sought to hone.

Chieri did not have a terribly good life. She had been kidnapped when she was younger after her father couldn't pay off debts. The consequences were already known, and Chieri's mother was thinking of hiding her in the mountains until the whole family could run away. The mob her father had borrowed from had come before this plan could set off, though, and Chieri was forcibly taken from them, forced to work in a brothel until the debt could be paid off.

However, she was not cooperative. She fought 'customers' and planned escapes, actually managing to do so a few times. The problem is, she was in a different town and had been blindfolded on the way there, so she didn't know where to go to get back home. The furthest she ever escaped was the start of the mountain, before a 'recruiter' found her and dragged her back. She was whipped and beaten and kept in a dark room until she looked attractive enough to patrons again.

So for a while, she went along with it, but not without bugging those in charge to see her family. They would tell her, soon, eventually, or not until her debt was paid off. And whenever she asked when, the answer would always be the same.

As time went on, she would try to convince the patrons that slept with her to take her back to her village to see her parents. Maybe one guy actually did, and upon going there, either found the village totally destroyed, or much of the men dead or crippled, from the villagers planning to overtake the mob family to bring back their daughters and sisters. Perhaps her father and mother some of the many casualties. But one of the guards had followed her, and brought her back to the brothel, for which she was now considered full property of. So she had no choice but to continue 'working', beaten every time she tried to escape or disobeyed until she lost hope.

Perhaps at some point she was permitted to be married by one of the patrons/member of the clan, but was still considered a slave under it, and now to him. It wasn't ideal, but it was better than being violated by different people all day.

Chieri got older. She never bore her husband any children, and she never loved him, either, even if she was able to tolerate him. He died and she was put back to work, although this time as a maid, either cleaning that brothel or estates belonging to the family. Sometimes advances were made on her, and because it was a clansman, she couldn't say no. When she got to elderly age, she was put to work in a tea shop-inn owned by the clan.

Finally, one day, the inn was paid a visit by a stranger in an unusual, stylish get-up and a voice that said things "weirdly". Later that night, whilst Chieri was sleeping, this guest had snuck into her room... and bit her on the neck. In reality, this person, Lin Xiuying, was a vampire using hypnosis to go undetected and biting desperate people in the hopes they would become a member of the family she sought to create. She had turned Chieri with that very hope, claiming Chieri had that look of loneliness and longing to be free. Chieri, however, turned her down, stating there were other things she intended to do with her new-found power. Albeit sad, Xiuying accepted this and went her separate ways.

Chieri, on the other hand... killed everyone in the inn, guests and other workers included so no one could relay that she had escaped or alert others to what she was up to. She went after the mob family, her oppressors, next, killing them one by one and even chasing them across the country to finish the rest off. Often times, she killed innocents too and didn't care whether they got caught up in the chaos created by the destruction she caused either.

One day, crossing a samurai on her path, Chieri hypnotized him to teach her how to sword fight. Truthfully, she didn't like the messy, barbaric way of how she killed people and didn't care for how much the blood got on her clothes, either. It could also be said she found it rather elegant how samurai fought. Later, she killed him and stole not only his sword but his clothes.

From there, she chased down the remaining fleeing members of the family, massacreing whole estates and whatnot. It didn't matter to her if uninvolved people died; they were of no concern to her. She was out here for revenge, and nothing would impede that.

When her bloodlust was finally quenched, she escaped into the mountains, using hyponosis to get by undetected. There, she simply lives out her days as if she were human, occasionally allowing travelers to stay the night at her home, and practicing the self-discipline she sought to have (all the killing and stuff made her a little crazy). At this point, she is basically a recluse.
