Looks
130 lbs
5'5
pink lemonade
he wears his hair down to his shoulders. the bangs are marginally shorter and are styled into a fringe that partially covers his right eye.
none
naturally brown; wears contacts the same color as his hair
human; irish
fair
ectomorph
he has a small burn scar on the inside of his left wrist, although this is usually covered by his dynamax band.
this scar was the result of getting a little too close to his mom's litwick's flame.
Nature
he tends to speak in a falling intonation when he has poor confidence in what he's saying.
when he's nervous or waiting on something, he'll fidget with his left sleeve or, if not available, his dynamax band, which he wears on his left wrist.
he has a bad habit of either rubbing or pulling at his bottom lip when he's lost in thought, although his mom would always scold him over how unsanitary it is, so he's learned to carry hand sanitizer with him.
walking while looking at his feet is not something he's a stranger to. it's a tendency that's gotten him into many a pickle.
he sits with his shoulders drawn-in tight when he's around strangers or many people at once, but when he's alone or spending time with his pokemon, he takes on a much looser stance. he also tends to sit cross-legged, even when in a chair.
august's dream is to gather all of the gym badges in the galar region, as well as eventually challenge the champion, leon. he does not want to become the champion, however.
he does want to cultivate friendly and trustworthy relationships with all of his pokemon.
friends are something he's had trouble keeping in the past, so he wants to establish meaningful, long-lasting relationships with those friends he does make.
he's very absent-minded and tends to forget important and unimportant things alike. even how to get places!
his anxiety makes it difficult for him to talk to authority figures, although he usually manages talking to people his own age pretty easily. this does, however, come with other disadvantages, such as being very indecisive, or coming across as meek or even needlessly submissive to the point of annoyance. he oftentimes finds himself unable to speak up when something inconveniences him, and ends up suffering in silence because of it. furthermore, he struggles to perform under the eyes of others, which is why his parents so boldly oppose his dream of challenging each of the gym leaders and champion. they, and many others, believe he's overambitious.
unfortunately, he can also be quite gullible and soft-hearted. he trusts people a little too easily, and if it weren't for his pokemon, he'd be in a lot of trouble. this is probably a result of his sheltered upbringing, but he's nevertheless started a tally of every time he's almost blown his money on something useless.
august is, without a doubt, an idealist. his perception of reality is distorted, and he doesn't always understand that bad things sometimes just happen. this is why he tends to take things to heart when they don't go his way, although he rarely makes an effort to speak with anyone he trusts about how he's feeling.
to expand on this, he very much bottles up his emotions until he is emotionally unable to withstand it. this typically leads to a pretty major pity party and a down day.
he shies away from most adults and authority figures, as well as most obviously-extroverted people in general.
august has a knack for discovering new curry recipes, mimicking pokemon cries, sprinting short distances, and woodburning. he's also a decent lip reader, and he can write legibly with his non-dominant hand, although not to the point where he could be considered properly ambidextrous.
he's really interested in fossils and has a habit of searching for them whenever he's in a promising area. he also loves photography and making collages out of the photos he's taken, as well as cooking and woodburning with the help of fire-type pokemon.

"mediator personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. while they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, mediators have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. comprising just 4% of the population, the risk of feeling misunderstood is unfortunately high for the mediator personality type – but when they find like-minded people to spend their time with, the harmony they feel will be a fountain of joy and inspiration."
"unlike their extraverted cousins though, mediators will focus their attention on just a few people, a single worthy cause – spread too thinly, they’ll run out of energy, and even become dejected and overwhelmed by all the bad in the world that they can’t fix."
"left unchecked, mediators may start to lose touch, withdrawing into 'hermit mode', and it can take a great deal of energy from their friends or partner to bring them back to the real world."
"a live-and-let-live attitude comes naturally to mediators, and they dislike being constrained by rules. mediators give the benefit of the doubt too, and so long as their principles and ideas are not being challenged, they’ll support others’ right to do what they think is right."
"...they try to push themselves to commit to a chosen cause or person, forgetting to take care of the needs of others in their lives, and especially themselves."
"mediators often take challenges and criticisms personally, rather than as inspiration to reassess their positions. avoiding conflict as much as possible, mediators will put a great deal of time and energy into trying to align their principles and the criticisms into a middle ground that satisfies everybody."
"often enough people with the mediator personality type will emerge from this time alone having come to some momentous decision that even their closest friends didn’t know was weighing on them, evading even the option of receiving the sort of support and advice they so readily give."

History
august 12th, 2005
august was raised by his rather wealthy parents and grandparents in the bustling city of motostoke in the galar region. his family's house was very large with a whopping five rooms, six bathrooms, two living areas, two garages, a kitchen, basement, attic, pool and a decent-sized court out back for pokemon battles. His room was on the second floor, nestled in between the two rooms reserved for the pokemon of the household. seeing as he wasn't allowed a pokemon of his own and none of his family's pokemon were allowed in his room, august would often sneak out at night and read by the candlelight of his mother's litwick, play games with his grandfather's pair of impidimps, and cuddle with his grandma's rapidash or his dad's thievul.
this is a roundabout way of saying that august had it pretty good growing up. his family kept him sheltered, sure, but they always had the best of intentions, even if they hovered to the point of stifling him.
the over-protectiveness was never really an issue for august until he was properly diagnosed with adhd, dyslexia and general anxiety. it was around that same time his parents realized his dream of challenging the gyms and leon was very serious. instead of encouraging his dream, they outwardly opposed it and tried to keep him from going. they seemed to think him weak for his conditions, despite how common and treatable they are.
because of this, august and his parents don't particularly get along anymore. things grew strained between them, and it's awkward for august every time he visits. it was only because his grandparents helped convince his parents to give him their blessing that he was prepared at all when he left.
shortly after leaving, he caught his first pokemon—galarian zigzagoon—with the help of a borrowed impidimp.
he's since then returned impidimp to his grandfather and set out on his own journey, catching a togepi (who evolved couple days after he caught her) and rookidee soon after.
Family
He doesn't consider them to be pets, but his team of pokemon includes galarian zigzagoon, togetic, and rookidee.
