Basically, he's a host of a very old moon-based dragon. He shares a body with said dragon, who's spirit has inserted itself into his mind/body. Because of this, he essentially has the abilities of the dragon, which includes shadow-manipulation, illusions, rapid healing, added physical protection, and so on. His dragon protects him when it can, and they can switch between human and dragon forms, as well as mix traits for an in-between, humanoid form. The dragon can breathe starfire as well, a very hot flame that takes a bit to catch onto anything, but melts/vaporizes most materials within seconds of exposure.

Nikolas is… Nikolas. He's sarcastic, slightly insane, perpetually sleep-deprived, and gay. Will cut a bitch without hesitation. Needs supervised. The poor boy is damaged, so he covers that up with jokes, sarcasm, and sass. Fiercely loyal, though he's hard to get to open up, partially because of his stubbornness, partially because he's got so many walls and trauma it's hard for him to trust people anymore. Tries to act cool, but really he's just a lovable dork when you get to know him. Ferociously protective but supportive of his loved ones.

High school, but very scattered and missing some bits.

Ooooh boy is this a doozy.

Born into a wealthy family in Athens, Nikolas grew up relatively spoiled by his very loving family. They took many trips all around Greece, all thanks to his father being eager to make his children happy, and dogs were always present thanks to Nikolas' father's habit of rescuing stray dogs. One day, however, everything crashed to the ground and brought the family to the hard reality. They lost all of their money, and they needed to restart elsewhere.

The family moved to America when Nikolas was ten and settled in Texas, but the start of their new life didn't turn out to be as great as they expected. The cost to become legal citizens was more than they expected, and they could only afford to make Nikolas and his sister legal citizens. Their parents, however, remained as illegal immigrants. They got away with it for a while, but then someone ratted the family out. The parents got deported while the children were put into the foster care system.

Nikolas bounced around from home to home, staying with Theresa as a survival tactic. The two were abused constantly, but the most traumatizing moment with a family was when he was fifteen. One of his foster fathers only took in children for the sole reason of getting some "fun" out of it. He had originally set his sights on an eleven-year-old Tess, but Nikolas wasn't having it. He took on the sexual abuse in her stead to protect her, which caused him to have problems later in life involving romance---especially with men.

When he wasn't living with a foster family, he was living in the streets to escape the abuse. It was fine at first, but then doctors that were developing illegal "miracle drugs" were taking kids off of the street as test subjects. Nikolas and Tess were one of the frequent victims as they didn't die from the testing (this was thanks to their dragons protecting them). Both became drug addicts from the highly addictive drugs forced into their bodies, and a fear of needles firmly instilled in them. More abuse happened whenever the two of them didn't comply with the rules or demands. A strong dislike for hospitals developed as well.

Aurae Ralomyar - The two of them grew up in Greece together and were really close friends, even when Nikolas moved to America. When Nik got access to a cell phone, the first person he called was Aurae. The two of them kept contact for a while, and when she came to America to visit him, they decided to take things to a more intimate level. She is Nikolas' first love, with anyone. The relationship lasted for about two years, but it was mainly long-distance and it just didn't work out in the long run. They are still friends to this day, however, even if they don't talk as much.

Ryker Young - Ryker is the first guy to get Nikolas fully out of the closet as bisexual purely because the new guy was cute and Ryker was desperate. A lot happened between the two of them before things became official, and throughout the events surrounding the time they spent together, Nikolas was mostly in denial of his attraction to men. Their relationship was rocky, even after Nikolas finally accepted his attraction to Ryker, and didn't exactly end on a good note---Nikolas had aged out of the foster care system and ditched Washington as soon as he could, ditching Ryker in the process. However, after contacting each other again and working things out, the two remain as best friends.
