Scars on either side of her mouth, it makes her look like she's grinning. She usually hides these with a mask.

Jax is very sweet and caring, and still has a sense of childlike innocence. She worries a lot, especially when it comes to others' health. She doesn't like violence despite being a pirate, and usually stays on the sidelines of fights.

August 12th

Jax was born on the war-torn island of Rhea, where a civil war was taking place. Marines interfered, and shut the island down, blocking off all trade, enter and exit. Jax grew up amidst fighting and ruin, and her parents and sister were killed when Jax was only 6.

She'd learned a lot about medicine in her early years, and looked for books to learn more. Soon, she was caring for wounded soldiers and civilians alike. The World Government eventually decided the island of Rhea was long-gone, and decided to kill off all its civilians. They used a made-up infectious disease as an excuse to take people to a 'treatment facility' one by one.

Jax kept evading capture and helping people until she was 8, at which point Law came across the island. He was shot by members of the World Government, and was found by townspeople and saved by Jax. Jax informed him of the island's situation, and Law, reminded of his own childhood, soon saved the island and let Jax join the Heart Pirates. A few days after joining, Jax dreamed that a man, who she'd later learn was Donquixote Rosinante, told her to protect Law.
Ever since, she's been looking out for her captain, and sees him as her father. She's also formed a sort of brotherly/sisterly bond with Sanji of the Straw Hats.

The Polar Tang

Jax usually wears a yellow dress that goes down to her knees, with a black belt. The buckle is golden and slightly off to the side, in the shape the Jolly Roger of the Heart Pirates

Jax goes barefoot often on the submarine, but the rest of the time she wears black combat boots.
