She comes off as either overly assertive and sometimes aggressive, or as nonchalant and uncaring. it depends who she's around. For the most part, she tries to come off as chill but when she's with people she's comfortable with, she shows her louder side that she somewhat tries to suppress. While she is a very aggressive person, she can tone it down when needed, though it makes her feel very uncomfortable.
-When going through a manic episode, her already erratic behavior worsens and she'll say and do things with no restraint. She'll sometimes set herself up for failure by giving herself projects she would never be able to complete when out of her mania
-When going through a depressive episode, she's almost like an empty shell of herself. Her emotions feel much fainter and harder to recognize. She's more irritable and unmotivated. During the difficult times she's living in, there are times that she nearly gives up, not seeing the point in living in such a brutal reality

She has a tendency to act superior to others, be overly assertive, disrespectful, prideful, undependable, has unstable relationships, and has a terrible temper which causes a lot of problems down the road for the people she travels with, as does her carelessness, impulsivity, and immaturity. She is very naive when it comes to the people she's close with, she'll trust their every word, but is completely distrustful of strangers. She also has some mild commitment issues. Bad memory

She has something against people with mental illnesses, mainly those that have to do with any kind of mental instability (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, multiple personalities, ect.). Growing up, her father and brother demonized her mom a lot (who was inherently bipolar and schizophrenic) and she grew to have a dislike towards them. This caused a lot of inner turmoil when she found out that she likely inherited bipolar disorder from her mom. For a long time, she wonders if she was as terrible of a person as her family had made her mother out to be.

Friends: -garret has always made it well known that he has feelings for her, even from the first time they talked (though he never meant to). She ignored it though, assuming he's just awkward. But eventually her brother pointed out all the things garret does, and told her that he obviously has feelings for her so she started viewing him differently. She never reciprocated feelings and she never realized how obsessive he was over her.

up to sophomore year high school, had to retake some freshman classes (english, math, and health) and probably wouldn't have graduated anyways

Danica's childhood was decent, save for a couple of traumatic events. When she was 7 her mom had a psychotic break and threatened to shoot herself, so her brother had to take Dani to a friend's house. Every time her mom wanted to spend time with them, she insisted on making a day out of it and got angry when everyone wasn't enjoying themselves. Other than these times, her mother wasn't around much. Her parents got a divorce when she was 12, and her dad used her mom's mental illness as leverage to get full custody of Dani and her brother. She hasn't seen her mom since. Her dad wasn't around much before that. Because her parents were either unstable or absent, she grew a strong bond with her brother, who felt like the only permanent, dependable person in her life. She also took after some of his traits, like the way he dresses, and some of his mannerisms, ect. Being so close with him though, she has gotten into a lot of trouble, like getting arrested several times for various things, school suspensions and expulsions, and getting banned from many stores and such. Her punishment when these things happened, though, was decently minor due to her dad's connections to good lawyers.

Dominick is her half brother. Although she is usually the one depending on him for most things (daily plans, emotional support, protection, etc.), she often has to be the voice of reason, since he often lets his obsession with keeping her to himself get in the way of his decision making.

-When the bombs initially drop: this is obviously a traumatic event, it would be for anyone. she doesn't show it much, but she's terrified and confused.

-her favorite movies are Juno and Zombieland
-she would always choose her brother over anyone else (puts her in danger sometimes) would follow his lead no matter what and has full trust in him
-her mother was absent most of her life and her father held high expectations of her, it became very clear early on that nothing would be enough, so she stopped trying
-she hangs around with her brothers friends at school
-She finds ways to do her makeup and hair despite living in an apocalyptic world
-She forms a bond with Ana De La Cruz , she's like the mother she never really had [i find it so adorable]
-She isn't a very book smart person, but is decently street smart
-Didn't have any aspirations or direction on what she would do after high school, so a very very small part of her is thankful for the apocalypse so she's never forced to figure it out.
-She has a rap sheet (stealing, arson, breaking and entering). She's on a first name basis with the receptionist at the police station. Spent her 8th grade year in juvenile detention and was on probation for her freshman and sophomore year, along with her brother, who was arrested for similar offenses. (arson, shoplifting, breaking and entering, vandalism, probably other stuff too)
-She got her scar from setting an abandoned building on fire (hence the arson charge)
-Strangely, the main thing she doesn't like about the apocalypse if the lack of rules. She no longer has the rush of getting caught doing something illegal or wrong. She doesn't have the fear. So she starts chasing it in the wasteland, upping the stakes. She's constantly chasing the high of being in danger.
-people always make digs at her intelligence, so she's pretty insecure about it.
-She's horrible with technology and often watches Garret and Cult doing their techy things with confusion
