Her parents were so excited to have a baby girl, but there were complications during childbirth that was the cause of her mother's death. Her father, while distraught about his wife's death, cared for Rosalind and was happy that she had survived. He took good care of her and made sure he was happy for as long as he could. However, when Rose was seven, her father couldn't take the loneliness anymore and committed suicide. Rose was then given to her uncle, her father's brother.

Things were okay at first and Rose began looking so much like her mother. Her mother was as sweet as could be and tried to help anyone who needed it and Rose had those qualities as well. Her personality was so bright that she could make anyone smile when they needed it. Everyone loved her. But her uncle hated it.

It reminded him too much of the woman who died that he just wanted Rose to die as well. He began to beat her, call her names and tell her how useless she was. The verbal and physical abuse was a lot, but Rose didn't let it bring her down. Of course she cried sometimes. It made her so sad that the man raising her was in so much pain because of her. Years passed and all she did was take the abuse. She hoped that she could make him happy by letting him do it, that he would get better. But it didn't. All he ever did was hurt her.

As she grew up, she learned of her sexuality and was happy to have a few girlfriends, though her uncle found out through gossip around town and she had to confess. He flew off the handle and beat her worse than he ever had. She hardly escaped with her life and never went back. She only had the clothes on her back and her unbreakable spirit.

So she became a mercenary and did odd jobs around the country until she got enough money to live on her own in ( placeholder ). She never let her uncle's words get her down. She instead grew from them. She isn't ashamed of her past. She tries to help anyone she can knowing that her parents are smiling down upon her.
