His wrath makes him impatient and he can do things in his anger that he regrets
He comes off as aggressive and rude even towards his fellow Stars to the point where they would ditch him. He wants to work on this one
He relies on his brute strength in many situations that really don't need brute strength

His leadership skills, although rusty, prove to be effective and controls his teammates to a respectable degree.
He's the strongest member of the team, so he usually bears the heavily lifting
Although not compared to his youth, he's considerably athletic for his age
He is an amazing story teller. He's able to quell the twins' boisterousness fairly easily with a few well chosen words.
He's the most effective at calming down Mat when she has a breakdown.

He really does love his team, even if he gets annoyed by their incompetence a lot and enjoys hanging out with them when they're not burning the world to the ground.
He likes to inspect and explore the world he's trying to conquer. He collects some trinkets that he thinks will make a nice gift for Mat.
He makes a habit out of poking fun at Mat when appropriate.
He likes to practice singing with Mat. He's... not that good. But he tries!

His abilities as a Burning Star are as follows:
Astral Pyromancy: Casting fire that can't be doused by water and burns will sting forever. His flames are actually the least effective out of all the Burning Stars. He does shine the brightest though.
Burning Punch: A punch that burns
Burning Kick: A kick that burns
Burning Breath: Take a wild guess
These moves were made to compensate his weak flames by combining them with his physical strength
Almighty Nova: An ability he's not aware of. During an emotional revelation, all the shine and flames stored in his body gather together as a single compound of energy that burst forth in all directions and devastates the vicinity around him for several miles. It's basically a super nova. This move almost kills him.

His Astral Pyromancy is abysmally weak because as a Star that used to be part of a constellation, he would naturally shine very bright and wouldn't use flames. This disuse made his flames weak and pitiful as a result (but that Nova is devastating af)
His strength is still prominent, but his durability dwindles with his age. This is accompanied by that fact that whenever he comforts Mat during her breakdowns, she cries on him. Her tears are literally on fire all the time and are the most powerful fire of their entourage. This has him covered in burn scars on his arms and torso. He hides his scars from her so she wouldn't feel guilty about hurting him. He endures it because he dearly lo- CARES FOR Mat.

He used to be part of a constellation where every Star was basically like him. They were all aggressive and rude and very mean to each other all the time. Ironically enough, Brutus was the softest one out of all of them. This was emphasized by his meet up with Mat before she was Mat. At the time she was an empty light that had some wish to do something but couldn't figure it out. His fellow Stars told him to abandon that useless waste of light into the dark and forget about it. Brutus, of course, told them to piss off and escorted the lost light to out of his constellation to literally anywhere else.

Burning Stars are stars that are not part of a constellation, whether through resignation, getting lost, or losing them all. Stars in group clusters can last indefinitely, but a Star on its own will burn out and die. Brutus left his constellation out of anger. If he regrets doing this is unknown, but his loyalty to Mat proved fruitful as she recognized what her 'want' was.
