Ally holds a much higher moral standard than her mother when it comes to using her abilities and rules in general. However, regarding laws, she will bend and stretch the limits to give people a chance, but only those she feels deserve one. She rarely forgives easily.

When revealing a secret, Ally often avoids eye contact with the person she is speaking to unless the audience comprises strangers.

Her third birthday, when she watched her mother drag her childhood best friend and cousin out of her house, kicking and screaming.

Until she was thirteen, Ally had a horrible relationship with Samantha that was riddled with manipulation and trauma. After her powers manifested when she was thirteen, they repaired their fractured relationship. However, it took a ten-year separation for Ally to process her childhood and forgive her mother.

Her father is Andrew McMiller. Ally didn't know her father until she was thirteen. Before that, she had no memories of him as he left her when she was three. Their relationship is distant and they don't speak much, especially after Ally moved away from Southwater at nineteen.

They met at school when they were thirteen.

Ally has an older brother named Danial (Dan). Before their reintroduction, when Ally was thirteen, they were best friends. However, since her father left with Dan when she was three, Ally has no memories of him as a child. Similar to her relationship with her father, Ally's relationship with Dan is virtually nonexistent because Dan was jealous of Ally's life when they first met.
