Nature
Ilsa hyper-focused on finding Eliot Mercer, her younger brother who ran away when they were kids. She has great privilege as a princess, and doesn't always understand that she has more than most others can dream of. Ilsa is sweet and genuinely wants to make others happy, and has a fierce drive to protect others. She does, however, have a heart, and does wish to make the world better. She deals heavily with paranoia and a general since of skittishness. Ilsa was always a sensitive child, and years of enduring emotional abuse from her parents damaged her already-fragile mental state. When her parents tried and failed to give Ilsa a Gift like her brother's, it backfired by giving her the ability to read minds, a Gift she doesn't know how to control, which causes her a constant ruckus in her brain that she can't turn down. Ilsa's mental health is worn to a thread by the time she reunites with Eliot.
Skilled with her crossbow, horseback riding, chess.

Naive, skittish, paranoid, a bit stuck-up.
Against most aliens and people from planets besides Chora.

History
Ilsa was twelve when her brother Eliot Mercer ran away, and she's been searching for him ever since. Unlike her parents, she doesn't want to bring him home, she just wants to make sure that he's safe. However, her parents have other ideas, and they pressure her to search for the "lost princess of Chora" (as Eliot had not come out at the time). Ilsa searches for Eliot with little success until he arrives on Chora, with Lady Tereza Hanne and her rebels in tow.
During the time between Eliot and Ilsa's reunion, Andra and Damien began research on ways to give someone a Gift, an pseudo-magical ability that is otherwise inherited. Their plan succeeded, sort of, with Ilsa gaining an incredibly strong telepathic gift, a gift that she couldn't control and that nearly drives her mad.
