Overview
The Plague
An affliction that seems to effect all magical beings, regardless of race or social class. While speculations abound as to itʼs cause, and who is to blame, nothing as of yet seems to have slowly or prevented it from spreading across Inspera, and now the first effects are beginning to be seen upon the Isle of Lore as well.
Disease
The sickness, It
Causes
None really know how it is transmitted though the prevailing theory is that you must have come in contact with a being who has it.
Effects
Fatigue and lethargy are the most common, immediate symptoms, though it seems to manifest differently depending on the individual. What seems to be common across Inspera however is a slow but steady decrease in magical ability and seasonal connection, and in later stages, and inability to have children and eventual rapid aging and death.
The length of the illness also depends on the individual with some able to live, however tenuously, with the disease for months of even years at a time, while others are quickly overcome.
No known individual as to date has been afflicted and then beaten the disease; it is only the length of the illness that seems to vary, not the prognosis.
History
The origin is unknown, the the prevailing theory was first that it originally with humans, and once the humanʼs had been banished from the continent, that it was be coming from the kingdom of Findius. Findius itself has been banished too, and yet the Plague continues to spread.
