Overview
Soul Tear
A condition in which the soul visibly begins to "tear" from the amount of stress on it.

Causes
Stressful environments can increase the likelihood of Soul Tear
This condition does not spread.
Magic that puts a strain on the soul or that can damage the soul (Infernal, Divine, ETC.) can cause tearing.
Effects
Soul Tear is invisible to the naked eye.
Cognitive struggles and light cases of depression are common among the affected.
Weakened immune system, cognitive disability, internal bleeding in the torn area
The soul typically takes a few days to heal if the tear is minor, but healing is paused if stress is continued to be exerted on the soul and deeper tears can take up to a year to heal if the tear is too deep.
It is rarely terminal, but tearing that rips through the soul can be fatal.
Treatment
If a tear inevitably occurs, the best course of action is to reduce all forms of stress until it heals.
Ecto-rays can detect any injuries to this layer of the body.
