A stronger soul can use magic, this can hurt other souls.
A souls main defense is it's host, weaker souls also use stealth to disguise their presence.

A soul without a host can move about the speed of sound, if the soul has a host then it's bound by the speed the host can travel.
A soul without a host has a significantly reduced intellect as it relies on the host for that.
Extended periods without access to magic is harmful to a soul, a soul usually have a buffer of magic to prevent this.

A Sage's soul also known as a Dragons soul is a very powerful type of potent soul.
It grants the soul powerful magical abilities and also stops the host from aging once it reaches maturity.
Only two races is known to be chosen as host for this soul Dragons and Humans.
