Overview
Decemuli
Often living off of and in a corpse, making the creature appear to be the corpse come back to life.
Carnivorous and Occasionally Predatory Scavenger
Looks
Dark colors, usually greys and dark greens
Like a bony bat with a grooved muzzle
Small enough to crawls inside a corpse
Crown of scaly horns
Scales, leathery wings, fur, skeleton, claws
Traits
Extremely violent
When within a corpse and with the desire to kill and invade a new body, they corner their prey and reform into solid from within their original corpse and jump through said corpses flesh to dig into the stomach of their victim to create a cavity. After killing the prey, they liquefy and fill out the available space they have made in the torso. These creatures possess twice as many nerve endings in their body as necessary. The extra nerve endings are held inside the body when solid. These nerve endings attach to those in the corpse and are used to control the motor functions of the cadaver. Some are capable of a small magical ability that allows the corpse to levitate above the ground. Others drag along the ground. When inside of a corpse they claw and bite and tackle with the body.
When outside of a corpse they run from anything that could be a possible threat. Otherwise, they just attack.
Depends on the age and size, because they vary greatly.
Speed(when outside of a corpse), they move so quickly they can barely be seen by humans, agility, occasionally levetation
Meek, small
squeals when threatened
a disgusting sludge that can't be used for anything except laxative involved poisons
Pending...
Habitat
Anywhere there is animal life.
Flesh
they move when they have no more food
They reproduce asexually. For one month, annually, a decemuli will develop a thick flap of skin on its back that grows into a pouch in which are developing fetuses. After 28-31 days, the pouch explodes and releases the spawn. They are fully developed from birth and immediately flee the scene. Those who don't scatter in time are eaten by the parent, who is unharmed by the explosion and has already begun to develop a new layer of thick skin to cover where the pouch had been.
