Overview
Looks
A kind of grayish glaucous for the skin, with bioluminescent semi-neon blue spots along the back, fading near the sides. The fins have spots.
The physique of a whale shark, with the snout and tail like that of a great white, with seven extra fins thrown in for good measure on the tail and spine.
On average from 40 (immature youngling) to 65 (full-grown [the largest is 68]) feet long
From belly to fin tip, about 15 feet tall
Anywhere from 60 - 75 tons

Not very aggressive, unless you stand between it and food, provoke it or harm another sea creature.
Step One: Exist near the hunted.
Step Two: Loom over them in a great shadow of Terrifyingness.
Step Three: Bite and bite and bite and maybe thrash but mostly bite.
Step One: Bite attackers.
Step Two: If Step One fails, swim away to where the water pressure will be too great for attackers to follow.
Step Three: Sigh with relief.

Low moans, akin to those of a whale, but lower and hoarser with a hint of growl and aggressive thrown in

They can smell blood in the water from up to two miles away [though most can only smell from about one mile away]

Saltwater or freshwater, preferably more than two-and-a-half miles deep. They've been found as deep as four miles below sea level, though most don't venture that deep.
