The symbol of Kulan is a star with the bottom right triangle as a scorpion tail.

Light.

Kulan is said to have a perfect memory which is why his paintings are so beautiful. It's also said that he can paint creatures and bring them to life.

None of the Old Pantheon answers to prayer, but it's said that Kulan will make a certain star brighter if you need it to navigate.

To pay homage to Kulan, you draw a constellation (usually your favourite) and you shine a light onto it. The idea is that you're giving light to the constellation to make it brighter and give Kulan a little easier job.

Kulan does not interact with the shire wolves.

Aeons ago, the night sky was blank. Zyara was lonely, and Amena was growing tired of guarding a blank darkness. So, Kulan decided to change this. They went to Niagi of light and asked for some of their sunlight. Niagi agreed, giving Kulan some of their phosphorus tears.

Kulan took the liquid light they had been given and painstakingly started to draw on Amena’s sky. They made Scorpio, modelled after their close friend, Phedea of Vengeance and Justice. The Scorpion Ruler saw it, and he was so impressed with Kulan’s work, that he gave his second tail to Kulan.

Kulan dipped their new tail in the liquid light and started to use it to paint the spots that sparkle across Amena’s sky.

Kulan made it so no matter wherever anyone was, they could find their way home by using their art. Zyara was no longer lonely, and Amena was no longer tired of their sky. An act of kindness, one they did not need to do. But because of their selflessness, thousands benefit.

Every night, Kulan with climb to the highest mountain, and repaint the sky so it will be as bright as the previous one.

Kulan has no known family.

Kulan was a mere Commorragh with no life. He loved to paint and draw, and his fellow Commorragh found this such an oddity that they outcasted him. Even so, Kulan continued to paint and give his art for free to others. He didn't have to, he just enjoyed doing it.

His art was so good that Thiros decided to hire Kulan to paint a picture for his fabled library. Kulan wasn't sure what he should paint, so he decided to paint a tree. According to him, trees live a very long time, collect vasts amount of knowledge and could have many interesting stories to tell.

Thiros was impressed with Kulan and took him as a sort of apprentice, having him help out in the library. Kulan didn't mind helping, but continued to give people paintings for enjoyment. He was asked by other deities to paint things for them.

Then Kulan painted the stars, and for such an accomplishment, the pantheon made Kulan god of the stars.
