Prayer of Last Resort
During the first month of the year, each person must do the Seven Steps, signifying their devotion to Theya and the gods:
1. Bring light into the world
2. Speak a truth
3. Bring life into the world
4. Care for a living being
5. Make peace with another or yourself
6. Refrain from sin
7. Bring joy to others
In the southern parts of the Empire it is common to paint the walls of houses white each year, symbolizing purity and adherence to Theya.
In some regions, it is still customary to say to others 'May she be there in your darkest hour' when they are expecting uncertainty.
For the last 20 years, she has been the Sovereign of the Empire, seldom holding court. Before that she has led the battle of Old Haven.
Prior to that, she has only come to the aid of those mortals she deemed to be most deserving of her intervention, and that was rare enough that those individuals were sometimes proclaimed saints.
