ecosystem
Notes
Marshrooms are lovely little plants. They have many magical and food related uses. One must be careful to memorize the affects of the various colors though, not all of them are wise to consume.
White: Fine to eat with food, but may cause a tingling feeling in ones mouth if too many are eaten. Can be used in mild numbing potions.
Pink: Good flavor for eating, no magical effects.
Green: Fine to eat if you like a powerful flavor. Can sometimes be used in potions to mask the natural flavor of a potion. I have never discovered any other magical use.
Blue: Poisonous to most species, causes indigestion and nausea, death is possible if large amounts are consumed. Can be used in poisons to increase the potency of other ingredients.
Speckled white: Do not eat! These can cause entire face numbness and digestive issues with even the smallest bite. Can be used for effective numbing potions so long as they are external use potions.
Speckled blue: These marshrooms are a mild aphrodisiac and I believe on many occasions the plain blue ones have been eaten by mistake when searching for their speckled variant. To my knowledge these do not make good potions, when cooked down their effect is reduced.
