The Union of Humanity
Human republic centered around human supremacy.
Structure
Militant Republic
The military has representatives in each branch keeping them in line, while the Legislative controls the military budget and the Executive controls the military leadership.

Free Market Capitalism
It is generally believed that as long as you pay your taxes, you are afforded privacy. Though, people in metropolitan areas generally expect to be constantly surveilled.
Only humans are allowed to immigrate. Very intensive process is required to achieve citizenship.
Obey galactic laws, then planetary laws.
Humans only.
Drugs: No.
Techiism: No.
Minor crimes: corporal or financial punishment.
Major crimes: Prison or execution
Planets should be terraformed until they are survivable for humans. Nothing more, nothing less. Anything frivolous or dangerous to life and health is banned by Union law.

Six years in office.
A Court of the Union is established on each planet. It is up to each planet to uphold and enforce Union laws. The Military runs all prisons.
Regional republican elections wherein representatives elect the branch above them and so forth, all the way up to the President
Populace
It depends on the planet. Some planets are one hundred percent behind the Union and its expansionist wars. Other planets have suffered the consequences of Union actions, and so have been disenfranchised about the government.
The Union of Humanity has several strained peace treaties with other nation-systems. Most notably, however, the Union is in a total war with the Sapient Council.
It depends on the planet. However, most daily lives are mundane. Frontier planets usually consist of more survival activities. Interior planets are more white-collar in occupation.
