Parliament can be overridden by the Ruler if absolutely necessary, Parliament can veto small decisions by the Ruler, the People vote Parliament in. The Ruler is the only one who can declare war.

You can become worthy to be a politician only if you educate yourself and have money.

When a single Parliament member is up for reelection, electronic votes are sent in by the public, choosing whether to keep them or to replace them.

Each Parliament member can serve up to 5 standards in a single term, and up to 5 terms in their career.

Most have an alliance with them, though tension remains between them and the Dwarves.

Parliament is under constant scrutiny and disapproval, and the Ruler is usually on the lower end of this. Age groups tend to disagree with each other.
