Overview
Dwarven Kingdom
Restriction is Necessary
Structure
Ancient respect for the family line, general expectations of good leadership
The King has most powers, except declaring war. The People are the only ones who can advocate for that.
Monarchy, usually through the Paternal line
Since the King cannot declare war of any kind, many conflicts are avoided simply because the People choose not to get involved.
Ideologies
You are born in a family of kings, you will be a leader. You are born in any other family, you will be the decider of war.
Trade is regulated only in that all have a basic income that allows them to afford a home if spent responsibly.
Protect the mountains, and try not to pollute the air and sea, though there aren't many repercussions.
Privacy is important, and no one will take that away.
Few Migrate anyway, but it's generally not accepted for those to migrate to the Kingdom. It is difficult to become a citizen, usually taking a few decades.
No murder
No rape
No fraud
etc.
Process
Breaking laws goes through a trial, and sentences vary depending on what you have done and how bad the court deems the crime.
Populace
Privacy is respected, though drugs are illegal, and are tracked religiously.
It is rather secluded, and has had many conflicts with the Goblins over resources, and with the Fairies over territory.
Most of the younger generation are pleased, while the older generations are not quite as happy.
Members
An Army run by General Blair, with no Navy or Airforce, but heavy artillery and large melee weapons.
History
The Steam War (with the Goblins in a time where both ran on steam powered weapons), The Thousand Year War (with the Goblins over metal resources and smuggling), the Human-Maelan war (with the Humans over assassination of King Topaz and a terror attack), and the Glittering War (with Fairies over where the territory lines fall, and who gets to export goods where)
