The friars of the Falling Star at Friar's Gate are responsible for the mining and processing of iron. The iron core of the fallen star is considered a part of that God.

Friar Paskal Burdin is the head. All the overseers, mine managers, and head blacksmiths are 3rd level Friars. The friars who tend to the temple also are responsible for the upkeep of the city and its inhabitants. The friars have 3 levels.

They are all called friar, only distinguished by their appearance. Level one friars wear light rust shirt with fitted sleeves and light rust leggings, over that is a natural linen colored long tunic with bell sleeves and a rust-red linen apron, embroidered with one falling star in silver, that ties around the waist. They have a natural wool cloak lined in natural linen and embroidered with rust shooting stars. Level two friars have light rust shirts with fitted sleeves, dark rust breeches, dark rust long vest embroidered with silver and rust shooting stars, belted in black leather, and dark rust, bell-sleeved overcoat trimmed in silver with embroidered silver shooting stars up the sleeves. Level three friars wear black shirts with fitted sleeves, black leggings, dark rust, bell sleeved, long tunic trimmed at the bottom and sleeves in black with silver shooting stars and a black, hooded mantle with rust and silver shooting stars, belted in rust leather with silver stars. The friars live and work in all the levels of the fortress except the top floor, which is the Silver Sisterhood only.
