Daytronics is a private company owned by Devellion Dayt, from whom the name is derived from. Dayt used the company in an attempt to legitimize his personal work and provide a creative on non GRU-sancitoned projects.
After his return to Baron 3b, Dayt used Daytonics to strongarm away authority from his GRU handlers, threating to turn the company public and expose the GRU for the work he was forced to complete.
Daytronics only employee was Dayt himself. Others were hired under contract as consultants in areas where Dayt needed help, including test subjects, especially in the areas of chemical weapons and arrestment devices. One of these test subjects was Salisar.
Daytronics was also used by the GRU as a front company to manufacture devices on the commercial market that couldn't be traced back to them. Most were contracted subassemblies that carried few clues to their true purposes.
Daytronics was also used in the creation of the Pulse Detonation Engine to source parts, material, and fuel for the program.
