Universal Translator Chip (UTC)

Before all of the wars/the apocalypse happened, a superhero had the power to speak any language in the world (omniligualism). This superhero created a universal translator chip (meaning that when a baby is born, this chip is inserted into their brain allowing for them to understand all languages) and this also results in languages and dialectal variations of languages ceasing to exist since everyone can understand each other. Even if someone had a recording of before the dystopian era when people spoke Spanish or Mandarin Chinese or languages like that, then the people of the future would only hear the translations of that language, not the actual language itself.
Looks
It looks like a computer chip, but think more along the lines of Wakanda-type technology and that's more or less the type of material(s) the UTC is made of (not vibranium necessarily, but a mineral/manmade resource very similar to it)
Probably around the same weight as a small flashdrive, although since these things are inserted into people's heads at birth, they don't notice the extra weight
