The Mattermunchers are controlled by a hand-squeeze that cause them to open and close, and the springs are extremely stiff so that they open and close quickly. Not for those who shake hands like a dead fish!

The blades themselves are like ones meant to cut through metal or stone, toothless and with expansion grooves for cutting through armor. Blades need to be custom-made and replaced on an irregular basis.

Each blade is 7 1/4", and there are 15 blades per gauntlet (8 on the top and 7 on the bottom). The blades are staggered in a way that all of the clutches line up and interlock. The top blades are oriented in three columns of 3-2-3 and the bottom blades are oriented 2-3-2.

The part around the hands and arms of the gauntlets are padded and covered in vents to keep them breathable and cool, and the part housing the blades is rectangular with interlocking teeth. Latches on the front lock them in place when not in use.

Yama has had ideas of what to paint them, but he feels he's garbage at painting, so he opted to have a friend paint them to look like angry Behemoth heads.
