Overview
Technica Power
A company that employs wielders of Electricity Magic and distributes the energy they create across Nuova, supplying many buildings in the city with power. Technica is the first company of its kind, and the centralized power attracts much attention and tourism to the city.
They have even begun selling Crystals charged with any electricity energy that surpasses demand, though costs are still very high. One notable bulk buyer is Ludere Manufacturing.
Employee Duties
The bulk of Technica's workers are electricity mages, who are expected to work daily shifts five hours long at one of several power plants. Most of the plants' floor space is taken up by rows of magic-absorbing equipment. Each mage wraps their hands around two metal rods connected to a large crystal, and spends as much time as possible generating electricity energy.
The time a mage spends at their station is not strictly regulated, but all mages are paid by the amount of energy they generate, so it is expected that they learn how to control their casting to maximize output while avoiding excess Magical Fatigue.
Because the floor plan is open, mages are encouraged to talk to each other as they work, and often form close friendships.
